French
Learning new languages is very important for me. I like to look at it as I look at the subject of geography. If there are so many places in the world to see, I want to learn about them, and when I visit them, I want to learn even more from the people there. Spanish and French are languages used in many places around the world, apart from English, and learning them gives me the opportunity to be able to communicate with a larger part of the world. Learning languages isn't easy, but I always found it rather enjoyable. My parents imigrated from Poland the the US before my sister and I where born, but we are fortunate enough to have the culture and language be given to us by our parents throughout our lives. Polish is my second half, so by nature, learning languages is a big part of my life. I hope that someday I can be not just bi-lingual, or tri-lingual, but as many-lingual as I desire.
Picture Projects
My "Picture Projects" are pages filled with color and drawings, as well as labels to help me learn some words in French. I really enjoy these picture projects because they are a fun, engaging, and creative form of expression as well as an easy way to learn French words. These picture projects were not only created around the world, but also depict a variety of scenes and include lots of topics like clothing, weather, food, plants, and markets around the world. The first picture project aimed to help me memorize some clothing words. I drew this in Borneo, Malaysia. I had lots of fun thinking of different ways to illustrate seasons and clothing on many unique models.

Il Fait Du Soleil
Although not as colorful, this picture project brought me much joy, as I carefully illustrated each scene. 'Il Fait Du Soleil' is a cute comic strip about two owls conversing on a hot, sunny day. I illustrated this in Krabi, Thailand. The goal was to learn some phrases that included the conjugation of Avoir.
Chaos Sur La Corde à Linge
'Chaos On The Clothesline' Depicts a scene in which I drew some traditional Balinese clothing items, as well as some plants, food, and animals I saw every day while living in Bali, Indonesia. Not only did this project help me learn new french words, but it also became a good memory of my time in Bali.
Au Marché De La Rue...
'Au Marché De La Rue' Was a picture project inspired by my visit at a street market in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I was fascinated by all the colors and smells, and I even got to try some sweet stuffed rice triangles. Walking from stand to stand, I observed all the fresh fruits and vegetables, and I took in all the colors. To illustrate the street market, I used my watercolor pencils to add a colorful base, then I added details with markers. I lableed all the produce as well. I really enjoyed this picture project because I got to use lots of vibrant colors, and I will definitely remember my visit at the street market.
